The Nadi football team is banking on its young stars to propel them in this year’s Digicel Fiji FACT that kicks off tomorrow at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

Head coach Kamal Swamy has included three Korovuto College students – Khartik Chetty, Vishant Reddy and Nilkash Prasad in the squad.

“We are taking a young team and we will take each game as it comes,” he said.

Swamy added that the Jetsetters are developing a team laced with youngsters that would a force to reckon with in the coming years.

“For sure, it will not give us results in one year but in the coming year’s, it will be a team to be reckoned with.

“There are lot of under-23 and under-20 players in the squad and the future looks bright and we will give our best in the competition.”

He added they are in a tough pool that includes last year’s finalist Labasa, Rewa and Tailevu-Naitasiri.

“It will be a tough round of matches, because every team would like to show their best and try to put their best performance on the field and I think all the pool matches would be tough.

“We are slowly moving up in the ladder in the national Digicel Premier League and our performance in the Fiji FACT would matter a lot,” said Swamy.
